Wonderful place to stay with family, friends
"Took 4 days Terracotta Hotel & Resort Dalat with my wife. Must say this is the most value for money and wonderful place I"ve ever experienced - versus other resorts in the same / a bit higher range of price.
Not meaning to compare, but in the top 3 resorts in Dalat, I rank this one highest: new, modern and totally fit to the natural scenes here.
By choosing one of the best view villa, I can enjoy the most beautiful mountain + lake + forest in Dalat.
From my room, almost half of Tuyen Lam lake just "lays down lazily" in front of my eyes. The very green mountains stands around make the scenes more fabulous. At the late PM, you can hear very relaxing & fairy sounds of Thien Vien Truc Lam - one of the oldest pagoda in Vietnam. Hold on, did I tell you about the talkative birds singing whole day ? Amazing !
The people & service here is simply nice as a usual local Dalat citizen.
The other services such as Spa, Hair Salon and Motor Rental is quite good versus the same medium-high class ones in Ho Chi Minh city (my city). But versus the other ones in Dalat downtown ? Terracotta is in a higher class - quite cheap but high quality - simply more than Value for Money.
My first concern is this place too... lonely at night. No bar, club or street vendors - which are Dalat signatures - except a very "Dalat style" cafeteria locates 0.5km a part from the resorts. But this make the resort more peaceful of course.
The Motor Rental service should increase its capacity. I came here in a low season but they even have no any single motor for me !
The securities should take more frequent night guard. Must say this place is very safe and peaceful, but an urban family like us need this much - just for a better sleep.
One more point: you should consider if you wanna spend a very late night trip in the downtown. Because when coming back to the resort at night, it"s a bit scary for who driving motorbike: dark & no light moutain streets, long distance (6-7 km) from the downtown to resort and... cold of course.
But ignoring all very minor points (which we can easily deal with) - Just one word to describe:
